Default Trooper stalls while stopped and reverse

I have a 94 trooper 3.2 DOH with 165K and about 2 months ago while trying to back up the RMP dropped and stalled. Now everytime I put it in reverse the rpm drop and when I give it gas it stalls. The trooper will back up but I can give any gas and hope that it doesn't die. Now, in the last week it is doing the samething when I stop at a stopsign/redlight. The RPMs drop and sometimes stalls. I have changed the fuel filter and TPS. Maybe someone else has seen these problems. I have normal idel while in neutral or park.

We just bought a 1990 Trooper and it has very similar concerns. After taking it to my mechanic this next week I will let you know what could be the problem. On ours when it warms up the hesitation/stalling seems to mostly go away.

Definitely check the "Mass airflow sensor" as this was the cause of our trooper's stalling. Cost was about $260 for the part.
