I 've been told by main dealer that car won't start (99trooper 3L diesel)
because oil pressure valve gone.
Been quoted £700 for the work inc part, seems extortionate price.
Any advice would be appreciated.

there aren't many diesels in America. Try searching for ITOG, in Britain and Australia. There are many diesels and the Isuzu forums there have a lot of action on them. HTH good luck
