I have a 2001 Trooper with the V6 and 4WD. Recently I cranked the vehicle drove 500 feet and it shut off. It will turn over but won't start. I don't think it has an ignition control module but rather a ion sensor??? I know it has individual coils for each cylinder. Any ideas what I should look for?

Have you asked Isuzu.com? I'm new, excuse me if off base, but I own a Trooper and Isuzu was responsive and helpful some years ago. Their commercial truck business is still going strong.

 

Unplugged the air mass meter which corrected it. Runs now but I need to replace.
