Post Dash hazards come on when A/C is turned on but A/C does not

I have a 2002 Rodeo LS V6 2WD. Operates in El Paso, TX heat
First occurrence
10:30 PM
A/C switch turned on and the headlights went out, hazard lights on the dash came on steady (not flashing)
Turned off the vehicle and the dash beeped as if the lights were on and the door open.
attempted to restart the Rodeo and only the beeping even if the door was closed.
Disconnected and reconnected the battery. Beeping did resume after attempting to start. Did not start.
Called AAA for a tow.
waited 90 min and decided to try again.
Started, lights and A/C worked. Drove home 10 miles.

Second Occurrence.2 days later
Mid Day
A/C stopped working while driving.
Cycled the switch and fan speed. still not working and hazard light indicators were on again (only at the indicators in the dash not the lights outside of SUV)
Stopped and cycled the ignition all worked again

Third Occurrence the next day mid day
A/C stopped working and hazard indicators came on again. nothing made it come on.

I replaced the two relays in the door fuse panel, no change

Any Ideas on what to check next before I start throwing parts at it?

Forgot to mention there was a clicking coming from the relay in the door fuse panel during the first occurrence.
