good day, i have noticed my starter selenoid becoming intermitant,i looked to see the best way to remove the starter. the lower bolt is assesable but the upper seems burried how does one undo the upper bolt? thank you in advance 2.2 4 cyl. rear wheel drive model

 

hi again in case anyone else has to replace the starter on this engine 4 cyl'' the easiest thing to doto remove the upper bolt on the starter is to lower the transmission a little with a bottle nose jack and you can get to the bolt easily

 

I have also found that if you use a few extensions together you will be able to do the same without messing with the tranny
