Hey,

My vehicle is an '89 Isuzu Trooper II 2.8L V6 Standard Transmission.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how difficult it is to remove the heat shield and how to replace the starter. If you could give me some exact or guestimates on what size socket wrenches I'm going to need, that will help as well. Also, I've read a few things, but how hard is it to replace the starter in my vehicle once the heat shield is off? What I've read said that people have had to dremel the transmission casing to remove this. Should the starter just fall straight down after removing the cables and the two bolts?

Sounds straight forward, but then, you never know. It does not mention the heat shield, so more surprises may be in store. Good luck
