does adding a turbo damage the engine?
I have a question, i have a 1987 isuzu trooper with the turbo charged diesel engine c223. However a connecting rod broke and busted a hole in the side of the block. I was not able to replace the exact engine , i was able to obtain a 1.9L non-turbo charged engine with a 4 foward gearbox. The 1.9 has alot more power than the 2.2 which was basically dead on hills, the 1.9 still does now have maximum power but its better. What i want to know is that if i put the turbo charger from the c223 on the 1.9 if it will damage the engine and if there will be any significant change in power. Another question i have, is there anything else i can do to gain more power out of the vehicle? quite frankly it is a "dead horse". any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
