Default Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement

My clutch went to the floor on my '89 Trooper, won't hold fluid so I bought a new master cylinder. I don't know how to get to the bolts holding the clutch master cylinder on from the engine compartment. What kind of tool(s) would I need? My plain jane rachet/socket will not gain access to the tight area. I assume I get it off from the engine compartment. Thanks.
