Hello-

Just wondering if somebody can give me some information (links would be helpful too) on the anti-theft systems used on the 2002 Trooper's?

Here's the situation. Girlfriend's Trooper. The Trooper was stolen several years ago. When she got it back, the ignition switch was messed up and needed to be replaced. No fob. Since then, she doesn't lock it because she says that the anti-theft system will go off? She won't let me lock it to see exactly what it will do, and looking online seems the system sets off an alarm and disables the ignition-> but searching online seems like putting the key into the ignition will reset the system if it gets activated?

Personally I would like to remove or completely disable this alarm system, but seems like it's integrated into other systems in the car.
