Hey folks, just picked up my 7th trooper II. I love these things!!! But this one is my first with the 2.8 V6.


My problem is that it runs extremely rich, black exhaust, burns eyes and nose, a little sluggish, etc.


The Check Engine light stays on while running, but it doesn''t have a trouble code stored. I''ve attempted getting a code out numerous times by jumper wiring terminals A and B, but it willONLY flash code 12. From this,I think the ECM needs replacement.


Any other suggestions before I order a replacement computer?

 

Also, the tach is not working. Anybody know if this is related?
