I have a very nice stock 1988 Trooper (121k miles) that I love except now I'm thinking that I would like to have a little more power. The easiest solution would be (if I had a 2.8 V6 in mine would be to go up to a 3.4) but I don't, I have a 2.6. Mine is so nice that I don't want to just sell it and buy another with a V6 and I don't want to go to the trouble there would be to change it over. I'm assuming that if I went this way I would have to change the trans and maybe even the T case. Is there ANYTHING that I can bolt in, in place of the 4 cyl that will give me some more power?
