I have an 89 2.6 liter 4 cyl, man trans, want v6 power. what will swap in? do i need an adapter. can they be found. please help, LOVE the trooper hate the lack of power

 

you cant simply swap in a v-6 into your trooper, you would have to swap in the trans/transfer case (if manual) or trans bellhousing if auto. all the wiring from the v-6 model, and I do believe there is some front cross member differences betweent he two.


it would probably be easer to buy a v6 one and swap what you like from yours to it. then you can add a 3.4 engine.
