Cool 95 trooper

  • Hi everyone ! Just joined and was wondering if anyone had a Trooper that has high mileage on it . I have one that has 385,000 miles on it so far and it seriously runs like it is brand new. I do all maintenance myself and just changed the timing belt and sense i was in it also changed the water pump and all roller bearings . didnt need a water pump but changed it anyway. Only other things changed have been passenger side rear wheel bearing ,starter, and radiator ! No joke !!!
  • I will post some pics soon !

Default Rear wheel bearing

It was really easy . Remove top bolt from brake caliper to rotate it off of rotor. Pull Rotor off and parking brake components .there are 4 nuts that hold the assembly to the axle. They are are on the back side of the dust cove . Once the nuts are removed the whole axle and assembly will pull out. I got mine out in less than 30 min. Take to machine shop and have new bearing put on . About 15 bucks . Don't forget to replace the seal. When installing axle rotate it to line up splines and reverse process . It's that easy !
