Default 2002 Trooper Alternator - Suggestions for removing it?

Haven't had much luck finding info about this while searching around. Hoping someone here can help...

I have a 2002 Trooper that has a bad alternator (causing the battery to need to be replaced as well). I've looked at various YouTube videos (none specific to this vehicle however) and read some instructions, but I cannot figure out how to get the alternator off the engine to replace it. Do I go in from the top or underneath? Is there something I need to move out of the way, or is there a trick to getting it out without disassembling everything? There are some hoses and other parts that appear to be blocking it from an easy removal. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

It's been awhile, but IIRC you can easily access most (maybe all) bolts from underneath.
Then it will fit through a triangular opening in the wheel well between the inner fender and frame
