Top alternator bolt replacement help!
I just replaced the alternator in a 1993 Rodeo auto 6 cyl 3.2L and lost the top bolt that holds the alternator in. <INSERT SOUND OF PROFOUND FRUSTRATION HERE> Does anyone know what size that bolt is or where to get one? I called my local auto parts store and the Isuzu dealership and they didn't know.
Help and thanks!!

I searched everywhere for the darn lost bolt and no luck, but did find out it's an 8x35 bolt. I'm off to the hardware store for a few in assorted lengths.
Juju, if the 96 is anything like the 93, then it is fairly easy to get the alternator out. Pull the battery first. There is a ground wire on the side just above the alternator that is easy to get to and remove. Two main wires to remove from the rear of the alternator (one plug and one ground), which I found easier to disconnect after removing the two bolts that hold the alternator in its bracket and had a little wiggle room.
The bottom of the two bolts goes through a bracket that has an adjustment screw to adjust tension on the belt. That little screw was the hardest to get to because I couldn't get a socket down in the narrow space, but a closed end wrench works just fine.
Make sure you remove or move the radiator hose out of the way rather than try to worm the alternator out around it or you take a chance on braking it.
www.myisuzuparts.com has some good diagrams to look at for reference.
Good luck and don't lose any bolts, lol!

First time post here!!!
Oh my goodness ....A friend was trying to help and broke that bottom bolt that goes through this very bracket!! This is my boyfriends daughters 2000 Rodeo I found for her. She was driving and the serpentine broke. She had done very little maintenance to it...(what a fricken shame because it had 70k on it when I found it and had mostly been towed behind a motor home so it was like brand new!) That was 2 years ago and she has put alot of miles on it with just three oil changes. So now my question is I get to figure out how to get it fixed and back into shape if that is possible. Problem is no one can fix it because I cant find that part. Please can anyone give me some suggestions???!! I got to hurry up and figure this out!
I would really be grateful!!
