I have an 01'' 3.2 RWD i blew a spark plug on my way into jacksonville last week and when i say blew i mean blew. From what i can gather, another mechanic or the previous owner cross threaded the number 6 plug when putting it in. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so has anyone utilized a threaded insert? I was going to pull the head and set it up in the machine shop.

 

I''ve never done it but have read posts from others who have with no problem.
