A friend of mine has a 1998 Amigo with the OHC 2.2L

The engine has apparently had an issue with one of the lifters, and recently has been blowing oil into the Anti-Freeze. My first thought is either cracked head, or blown head gasket. Either way, I'm not qualified or familiar enough with the Isuzu engines, to advise him what to do and to give him an idea what is involved in this job.

He is a fairly capable wrencher, backyard mechanic. My question is, What is involved (in a nutshell) and would this job require any crazy tools, and on a 1-10 scale of technical complexity, how difficult would it be to replace the head gasket?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Dave
