I have a 93 Rodeo and the lifters are sticking and it makes a very loud ticking sound. Has anyone ever had this problem, if so was there an additive you used that worked?

THE SHAFTS are what the rocker arms ride on if you ever got to see one it really looks like a flute. due to either high mileage or lack of oil changes done on time everytime, the shafts begin to wear grooves in them from lack of lubrication due to metal contact, which then allows to much clearance between the rocker arms,so they begin to rattle.the only fix is to take it to the dealer an have every rocker, lifter,an the shafts they ride on replaced.about 2,000-2500 dollar job.MY OPINION isuzu poor design, because the oil holes that are in the shafts are so small it doesnt take much to clog them, thats why changing your oil on time with a good quality brand is so important for the older models.
