Hello,

Iam new to the rodeo. I just bought a 1994 rodeo with 184,000 miles on it and I wanted to know what items I should check outfirst. Iam going to change the oil. What fluids do the front and rear axles take and trans and the transfer case. Please help me all you can. I have never owned a isuzu.

Front and rear diffs use GL-5 gear oil. If yours has limited slip rear differential (look for the code G80 on the options plate on the firewall) then you will also need to add 1.5-2 tubes of limited slip addative to the rear. Transmission and t-case use 5w30 engine oil though I prefer to use a 5w30 MTF oil. Its made to be used in transmissions and shifts much smoother with it. I use Amsoil MTF and it works great. Redline and pennzoil also make 5w30 MTF.
