I own a 2000 Isuzu Rodeo and for the past 3 months the fuel gauge goes all over the place. The check engine light is on as well. The other day I took it to Auto Zone to get a read out on it and it came out that the "Fuel sending unit" is acting up. I'm wondering if this part is part of the fuel pump in the gas tank. Or is this really the problem. I'm wondering if this is a common defect on this model. Please respond.

check with your Isuzu dealer service Manager for further recommendations on this problem, also scheck to see if it is addressed in Recalls / hidden recalls.
