my 96 4x4 auto rodeo keeps throwing a fan belt i bought the truck and the person said it had a bent pulley they put on a new water pump and alt and i was wondering if theirs a spacer behind the pulley because it look like its not in line with the alt i have a manual but it really doesnt show thanks

 

I haven't seen spacers on water pumps...but I have on alternators. If they're not all lined up you'll never quit throwing belts.

 

ok the alt looks like it needs too go back to the fire wall is their a spacer that goes on the inside of the fan pulley to move it out more its just that the alt is out more towardsthe front so its at an angle just wondering if the spacer could move the fan out to fix this Edited by: apache pride
