Brake lights

i have a 96 rodeo and my brake lights are always on and when i hit the brakes u cant tell the difference and my corner front lights come on when i hit the brakes.

Trailer harness is usually a big cause of problems like that.

Also check your brake light bulbs. Make sure the connections are clean and the filiments arent broken. Sometimes one filiment can break and make contact with the other one to cause that problem.

i've never had a trailer on it and what about the front lights and my brake lights are always on

There is a relay switch connected to your brake. To me it sounds like you have a fused relay,( ie. light switch), and you havea bad bulb or a bulb in backward causing the rest. Look in you repair manual and find the wiring diagram for the relay behined the peddle. If you dont have a manual, go down to checker or napa and buy one. It will always be handy with your Rodeo judging by the amount of threads you have started.[img]smileys/smiley2.gif[/img] Edited by: Keefbikes

yea it was the wrong bulb in one of the tailights and now my lights work great and i own a manual but didn't need to use it thanks for the advice[img]smileys/smiley4.gif[/img]
