My wifes Rodeo CEL came on. Told her to take it by Autozone and
have it scanned. They said it was the EGR. I did a search
here and read about cleaning the pipe out with cleaner. I took
the EGR off and sprayed carb cleaner inside of it and the pipe and blew
them out with compressed air. Now the CEL will not go off.
Did I screw up the EGR by sprayig carb cleaner inside it? Do I
need to replace the EGR? How do you reset the CEL after it comes
on?

Thanks

In the fuse box in the engine compartment there is a 15 amp fuse for the ECU (its actually labled ECM). Pull it and let it sit for about 20 minutes then reinstall. That should reset the codes.

Yea disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes also works. I prefer the fuse method because I dont lose my stereo presets that way
