Noticed loud noise on acceleration and got under truck and heard a leak in the exhaust. Waited for it to cool down and the flex section fell apart in my hands.


Muffler shops want $120 to fix it, seems a little steep for such a small repair. Has anyone used the aftermarket stainless flex hoses and clamps. I live in the rust belt and this thing is bound to rust out again and again IMO.


Any ideas will help me a lot. I'ma good shadetree mechanic, but nothing at the local parts store seems like it would work.
