NO, ALL ISUZU BUILT V6 ENG,S FROM 92 THRU 2004 ARE NON INTERFERENCE , ONLY EXCEPTION IS THE 3.5 DIRECT INJ ENG , USED IN THE 2004 RODEO AND AXIOM. JERRY

im getting conflicting info about which engines are "benders" and which arent. im considering buying a 95 trooper with a 3.2L with a timing belt "issue". i only want to buy it if is NOT a interference engine. how sure are you that this one is not? do you have first hand knowledge?

Both the year 99 3.5L and the 95 3.2L engines are interference motors.

I wouldn't shy away just because it's an interference motor, just keep up on the timing belt and it is a great engine

Weird because i replaced a the timing belt in my 1995 trooper w/ 3.6l dohc and its running like normal... mine jumped time due to a broken tentioner pully

thats good, your lucky!!

it probably didn't bend anything cus the belt didn't actually snap (i'm assuming since you said it jumped time) and it just went slack and didn't swing around and bend everything...
