My 1998 Amigo was having acceleration problems so I took it to an auto parts store and had them read the obd2 code. It said it was the camshaft position sensor. So I ordered 1 and put it in. It short circuited when I turned it on. I thought maybe the part was bad so I returned it and got a new one and the same thing happened. the guy said it might be a grounding problem so I looked in the engine compartment to see if there was a loose ground. I found 2 wires. 1 black wire with a loop on the other end not connected on the passenger side fender. And a second braided wire connected on one end to the drivers side fender. both have the other ends just hanging there. I can't seem to find what they should be connected too. I have pics of both if anyone can tell me what to attach them too or if they are just optional.[IMG][/IMG]

that can go literally anywhere on the block mine was on an exhaust manifold stud (not recommended they break)
