I just purchased a 99 Amigo, 117,000 miles v6 3.2. Runs great, very smooth, good power. I have a loud whine in the engine area. My repairman has removed water pump and all front pulleys still noise. He also disconnected trans. Still have the noise. I have had it to another repair person. Still noise, only advice, drive it until it breaks, then we will fix it. ANY IDEAS, like the Amigo for off-roading here in the desert. Please think about and let me know.

 

Same car / year / make / model / etc...they keep telling me the same thing. During idle, I sometimes hear a fait whiste noise.... Except with hard excellerations,,,
mine just whistles out the @ss end instead...
