As others assured me getting the door panel off is super easy.  You flip open the two little tabs on the grab handle and remove the two screws securing it to the steel inner panel.

Remove the clear plastic that acts as a dust cover. (It’s just glued on with a black gooey line of stuff. I just ripped it off.
I started in the bottom corner on the hinge side and worked a flat paint scraper in to start popping the clips loose.  Easy Peezy.
All I did was flush everything with WD-40 and work it back and forth (with the key) several times.
It made a big improvement although it’s not as effortless as it was when new.  If I get motivated in the future I might do it again.
