Remove the clear plastic that acts as a dust cover. (It’s just glued on with a black gooey line of stuff. I just ripped it off. I started in the bottom corner on the hinge side and worked a flat paint scraper in to start popping the clips loose. Easy Peezy. All I did was flush everything with WD-40 and work it back and forth (with the key) several times. It made a big improvement although it’s not as effortless as it was when new. If I get motivated in the future I might do it again.
