Hello Isuzu Forum,

I''m not an Isuzu owner... yet, but I''m looking around and I''d really
like to learn from the experiences of other Isuzu owners before I buy.
I''m considering a used Trooper or just maybe, a Rodeo. I''m much more
inclined toward the 5-speed manual transmission. Here goes with the
questions:



Does a manual trans limit me to certain model years?

My guess is that the Rodeo gives better gas mileage but is it so much
better as to offset the benefits of the Trooper? (My guess again is
that the Trooper is a significantly better vehicle.)

What model years are better? I''m doubt that I''ll go with anything
earlier than a ''91 and anything later than a 2000 may be over budget. I
prefer the ealier square body shape anyway.

Is there anything specific to be wary of with certain models such as the timing tensioner?

What''s best, the 4-cylinder or the V6? DOHC or single cam?
