Hi.

I have a 95 3.2L SOHC 5 speed manual.

Couple of questions

1. A/C Light. The AC works fine but the bulb no longer illuminates on the switch. How do I get to it?

2. Valve cover gaskets. Anyone changed these? How easy of a job is it? There looks like a lot of brittle plastic plumbing on top of the engine to come off.

Thanks,
Hugh.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

You should be able to replace the bulb, IIRC. I know there is a bulb that illuminates the controls, but Isuzu used a tiny 12 volt bulb you can buy at Radio Shack to illuminate the smaller switches, etc; you have to disassemble the switch, which is tricky, but can be done. Just be careful to observe how it comes apart so you can get it back together right.

The gaskets are a pita, but doable. You have to remove the intake, which means replacing the IM gaskets too. It is an excellent time to replace any hose, etc that look bad or are brittle or broken. PCV too.

I have DOHC so I am not sure about particulars, but make sure to keep track of wiring connectors and vacuum hoses that have to be disconnected to remove coils and IM. Plan on a day if it is your first time.
