Trooper Speakers
#1
I need help i'm looking to put a upgraded headunit an 4 speakers in my 4-Dr 92 Trooper S </font>but every audio site that i have looked at for speakers say something difference about my trooper's speakers size like front 6-1/2 or 5-1/4 an Rear 4, 5-1/4, 6-1/2 so i'm confused, all i was to do is put a headunit an 4 speakers for now in my trooper since i bought with all the opening for audio equipment but nothing there, just wires so if anybody knows for sure what size speakers fit in my trooper please let me know it sucks driving anywheres without music to listen to.

There were no holes cut in the rear panels but the holes were cut in the metal behind and it was prewired as well.

That means your trooper came with AM/FM Radio w/ 2-Speakers instead of AM/FM Cass. or CD Player w/ 4-speakers.
Take my friend's 05 Ford Ranger XL for example bought from ford dealer with AM/FM Radio w/ 2 Speakers but was offered from the factory AM/FM CD Player w/ 4-Speakers he also had the rear cutouts an wire but no open in panel.

Hi and welcome to the forum. My second generation Trooper (1994)had the 6 1/2" in front, 5 1/4 in rear as stock. When my son upgraded the system like you want to, he was told the new 6 1/4" speakers would not fit in the front, so they put in 5 1/4" instead. He now has 4 new speakers plus the factory tweeters and dual JBL 10" speakers with an amp under the pass. seat.
Hope this helps.

I know My 90 Trooper has 4" in the front and has 5 1/4" in the back doors. The fronts can be larger but if you want to use the stock covers then its 4"< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-44";
