Default Trooper Question

I have a 1999 Trooper, it recently started making some obnoxiouse noise when you go 55 mph, its on the right side.. my dad thought it was my mudflap but its not, I took it off and it still does it. I thought it was the antenna but I cant see anything that would make that noise. Its like a buzzing humming really loud noise!

first i would feel the hubs after a drive and see if any are really hot that would mean its a wheel bearing .

Talking bearing of half shaft

i would bet its either the wheel bearing of the half shaft. does the noise improve as you go through water? if it does then its the half shaft or cv joint, (too many cars; im getting hte parts mixed up) either way, check the shaft for teh rubber boot. if it is ripped then you found the problem

Default Trooper Question

I have a 99 Trooper and am doing some mods, if you check there is a thread going on the Trooper. I have been out of touch for the last 4-5 weeks due to work problems, and audits. Im happy to have another trooper in the group.

It sounds like its coming from the antenna, but I just dont have a clue! It sounds like a fuzzy speaker ughh.. It gets loud and then quiet, it started after a road trip in septemeber.
