Hi guys, first post on here and its problems......

To start off with the car:

Trooper Citation 3.0 td manual done 107k miles. Bought the car as a none runner with the intensions of getting it running again and then using it.

The guy i bought it off said that its had: A new fuel tank (genuine) within 2 years ago A new dual mass and clutch, last year.

Im not believing him until i see proof.

Now to the problem: The car will turn over but will not start, im no expert to diesel mechanics, but can usually fight my way around a petrol engine,

The fuel primer is fairly stiff so im guessing that the fuel is there but its just not jumping into life. I have checked the fuses and all seem to be in tact, My dad has a shogun, and when we switch the ignition on that car, there is a humming noise from the rear, like the pump is working, but there is no noise on the trooper.

Any help or any tests / checks that you can think of to try i'll gladly do and report back.
