Here are my symptoms. Tried a search, but no dice. I really think it''''''''s the voltage regulator, but the Alt was changed in summer 2008 (6mos ago). Anyway, here are my symtoms of the electrical problem i have. This is a 1991 Trooper, 5spd Manual, v6.

1. engine indicator lights go on/off randomly
2. wipers work really slow
3. Engine RPM jump high
4. Battery died adn had a hard time starting
5. Battery guage read max volts
6. Battery read fine after getting stranded, 3 days later battery died again

Changed the ALT and BATT. I wonder if i got a bad alternerator adn it''''''''s no good again?? thus resulting in power spikes maybe? I don''''''''t want to change the alternator again, but will if you think its that. Please help, I got this truck for free and really want to get it running good. Please advise..
