1999 Trooper. Cannot deactivate the rear passenger door safety locks. Read the manual that said to open the door from the outside and then slide the lever but neither one will slide. One was in the lock position when I purchased the Trooper last week and when I couldn't deactivate that one, I activated the other side and could not undo it.

 

Have a new technology or not..?
Door safety lock have so much importance in terms of safe driving. I heard this first time in my routine but it's ok.
