i have a 99 trooper, the engine spun a rod or something, i have not taken apart but was told the motor was toast. where can i get a replacement motor for cheap, or better yet, what are good motor swaps for the 99 trooper that may produce more power or maybe somethign that does good on gas? im open to whatever motor swap or replacement options there is, but just dont know anything about troopers. i am native to the subaru forums and do alot of engine swaps and tranny rebuilds and such, so i am mechanically inclined, just havent been able to get any info on engine swaps for this vehicle. i am beginning to think this trooper was a big mistake to purchase. any info would greatly help, thanks alot guys.
