I had my battery changed and now the factory alarm won''t let my car start. I tried using the remote,key in all the doors or turning the key to the ACC position like it says in the manual. Where is the "brains" for the alarm??Can I have it bypassed,eliminated. I would really like to drive my truck again. I sure hope someone can help

 

Sorry, but I have a friend with an alarm problem on a 99 trooper and is also looking for a solution. Took it to a dealer and they said nothing short of $1000 will fix it and she does not have the cash. If you figure it out I''d appreciate the info. Thanks

 

qbert it sounds like you need to reprogram your computer for your key fobs if thats what your using. if that doesn''t work try disconecting the battery for a little while, reconect it and see if it will start.
