I have a 98 trooper LS. when i press the 4wd button all i get is a flashing 4wd light -no other lights flash-- the 4x4 never engages


what can it be? ... since troopers are kind of rare in my areai'm afraid to have my mechanic mess with it. should i bring it toGM dealer? (no more official isuzu dealers)


what can i ask them to check?I want to appear knowledgeable otherwise i'm afraid they may take advantage -- (they might say it's the "flux capacitor" )


not having 4x4 in the canadian winter sucks and i don't want to get rid of my trooper ---- please help.
