93Trooper LS "Dead"

My 93 Trooper is "dead". Won't start despite strong spark and no fault codes. My mechanic is suspecting a fuel delivery problem, but there are a couple of "suspect issues" that may indicate something other than fuel. When it "dies", my heater/ac fan (blower) stops working. Engine cranks, but work fire. (Spark okay). Wait a bit, turn ignition on and if heater/ac fan blows, vehicle will start. Again, if no blower while in "on" position, I don't even have to try chanking as it won't start. I replaced my alternator (that was fun) and battery in July07. ECR-valve and O2 sensor replaced 1 year ago. Relays and fuses all seem good. I'm at a loss. Can anyone point me in the right direction. My resouces are Chiltons and Haynes repair and Service manuals, but despite doing a complete "bench" electrical test, no help there. Thanks for your response. Dan in Alberta
