I have a 2001 trooper Auto , i had a shop rebuild the tranny because it wasnt shifting on its own , and i got it back but its still not shifting one its own , any one know what it is or might know whats wrong with it

 

like how is it shifting on its own. its a Automatic transmission, its suppose to shift on its own, its controlled by the computer. if you don't want it to shift on its own and by you shifting it, then you need to pull the auto out and put in a standard trans.

Need to explain a bit more about your issue to get a better answer. is it shifting at weird RPM's or is it dropping out of gear at the wrong time. Worst case you might have to get the Transmission Computer Reprogrammed. If you have Oversize tires on it, it will throw your whole shifting pattern off as well as make the trooper ride different.

 

No its a Auto , but its Not shifting on its own ...
I have to do the auto Manually Start in 1st then shift it by have , and im not post to do that , ITS a AUTO
