hi everyone i am new here, i ahve a 3.1 trooper with a problem it has got a battery drain when the engine is off i have changed both batterys and altanator could someone please help with this problem as i need the car for some off-road fun thanks

Hi-
Here is how I check a drain- Disconnect neg battery clamp, insert a test light between the post of the battery and the (now disconnected) battery terminal.
If you have a drain the test light will light brightly. If you see a very dim light from the test ligt, it is probably just the clock etc drain.
Ok let's say the test light is very bright- Start removing fuses...1 at a time. Check to see if the test light goes out each time you remove a fuse. lets say the test light goes out right after you pulled the tail lights fuse...bingo your drain is in that circuit.
Please be sure (with a volt meter) that your system is putting out at least 13.8 volts.
