1986 Trooper II with a 2.3 4 cylinder.
Does not like the hills in central Texas.
I am thinking to swap the motor for at least a 6 cylinder (have heard the 4.3s tend to go in easier) but want some input before I launch.
I am a fair shade tree mechanic, have access to real professionals, and have pulled and put in multiple engines to include a rebuild on the current 2.3.
Any thoughts, recommendations or guidance?
