91 Trooper Problems
</>Hi all. New to the board and hoping to get some feedback. We have a '91 trooper we use as a 3rd car. Starting about 1 year and a half ago, every once in a while the check engine light would come on. If you had the a/c going at this time, the compressor would kick off, then the light would come on, and compressor would kick back in. That's really the only thing that seems to be affected here. It's been checked out and the computer is throwing a 24 code (speed sensor) or something like that. The mechanics (very good ones) have not been able to diagnose what is going on and causing this, and since it doesn't affect driving or anything, we've not bothered with it much. Then starting a couple months ago, every once in a while just after start-up and switching to drive, the Transmission light would start flashing and the car would not want to move that much. If at that point you turn the car off and back on...it's fine.
Sounds to me like some sensor or something is mucking up the works but I have no clue where to start looking. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!

Bad diode in alternator is causing your transmission light to flash right after startup..Replace the alternator and you'll be fine< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-44";
