Default Are you effing kidding me?

I posted here a long time ago about our rodeo and its crappy clutch/clutch job...Anyways my parents decided that they didn't need an suv anymore and they sent it off to an auction. This truck has 190k km's, runs pretty well and the paint is mint.

It sells at the auction, all seems good right? Nope, got a call today from the auction house saying that the sale is a no go because the buyer took it to get saftied, and they said the rear frame is rusted. I was shocked to hear that. Granted I never looked too much in depth, I am no stranger to frame rust because I myself own a 1995 Pathfinder.

But come on, this is a 9 year old vehicle (2000). It was washed regularly and rustproofed once in the 3 years we've owned it.

Is this common? Or did we just get the piece of crap. Hell my pathfinder frame has lasted longer! It runs and drives well but now we have to fix it so it can go back to the auction. I am thinking about just fixing it and putting it up on Craigslist.
