water leak?
#1
i have a '93 4x4 rodeo with the V6, it is leaking water from the top of the block, at first i thought it was the water pump gasket, so i replaced that, and drove it for about 15 miles before i noticed it leaking again from the same place, i took it apart and it looks like the water pump gasket is fine, after looking into it a little more, i am thinking that it is leaking from the gasket where the water comes out of the top of the manifold, through the tstat, and into the bottom radiator hose, it looks like i would have to take off the entire upper and lower intakes to replace this, any information on this would be greatly apreciated before i starting tearing it apart even more, thanks

There are o-rings on the pipes under the intake manifold that run between the t'stat housing and rear of the engine. They can wear out and start leaking. Replace the t'stat with an oem one as well as the heater hoses while you are there. Intake manifold will have to come off to do it.
Surferfletch had that problem about a year ago. Here is his post about it (pics are missing).. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...thread.php?t=4 71459
You might register there and ask him for more info about it since he's done it. He changed his name and is now FL 3.2L on that board.
