I'm looking to buy some new tires for the rodeo. I found some that are 285/75/16 and I was wondering if these are too wide for the truck. I must admit, I'm not too savvy in the tire department, so the help would be greatly appreciated cause I can get a set of 4 for 400 bucks. Thanks for the help

 

I am not positive but you will most likely need to raise the torsion bars to clear. I am not sure how different the 97 is to the 00 but my buddy had to trim and lift to fit 265/75/16 on his 97. He also had to use are wheels from the 98 and newer because of the larger back spacing. I don`t think I would try it. You might end up spending more money in the end making them fit.
