I love my 2002 Rodeo, great truck. The reason I sold my Ford and bought Japanese was I hate little ticking, tapping, or creaking sounds that American cars are notorious for. That being said, my rodeo fan blower makes a ticking sound most of the time when the fan is on. It is most noticeable when the fan speed is on 1 or 2. It sounds almost as if a piece of plastic is loose and getting hit by the fan teeth. (Imagine your bicycle with a baseball card in the spokes... that kind of sound). It finally got so annoying to me that I broke out my Clymers manual and saw how to remove the blower motor.

Has anyone had this type of noise coming from the fan blower?

Is the blower really as easy to take out as it sounds? The wife and I are driving 8 hours to North Carolina next month, it'll be a LONG drive if I break the blower motor and the A/C doesn't work!!!

Any tips thoughts or suggestions?Edited by: mcputman917
