Speedo Not Working

Can anyone help. Need to know what type is the speedo. is it electric or cable. Can you help me out as to why the darn thing stoped working.

No cables involved.


I had a similar issue. Theres a VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) attached to the transfer case. Easy to get off. Clean it up and WD40 all the connections. Worked for me anyway, hope it helps

Alot of times it turns out to be broken gears for the VSS. They can be bought from Isuzu.

I keep getting a CEL from the VSS when 4 wheeling but it doesnt happen every time. I''ve decided its not bad enough to tear into things yet LOL. I just plug in my OBDII reader and clear the code.
