Default smoking rebuilt 3.2l

Hello everybody!!

I had a Recent rebuild on 99 rodeo, 3.2l engine. I have ran it for about 45 min. and it looks like a lot of smoke. How much smoke should be expected before it breaks in. Usually clean until warm up. Before I go out on the street I want to make sure I dont make things worse. Any advice or other. The shop that reuilt it says its not unusual but this seams a bit much.
Thanks for any thoughts on this.

Default rebuild/smoke

1. just what is your definition of "rebuild engine"?
2. new valve guides,seals?
3. new cylinder liners/pistons/rings?
4. new bearings, gaskets, seals?

noticeable smoke is an indication of a defective
motor; no matter what they, the shop says!
